These risks notably include injuries from sharp tools, slips and falls, exposure to extreme weather conditions, and handling chemicals and pesticides often without adequate protective measures.
This assessment evaluates the implementation of OHS standards on farms, with a specific focus on the challenges and violations linked to agricultural production practices, farm size variability, and the particular vulnerabilities of certain worker demographics. It also aims to identify potential areas for improvement to enhance the safety of both male and female laborers and to offer practical recommendations for farm owners to ensure the effective application of OHS standards and the overall improvement of working conditions in the agricultural sector.
