On 17 August  2020, 129 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Tunisia, setting a new record for daily infections. Since the reopening of the borders, the infections have continued to rise. Compared with the first-wave data, Inkyfada provides figures and graphs on the return of the epidemic.
