
The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) is dedicated to advancing social justice, human rights, and sustainable development globally, with a strong focus on the Copenhagen Declaration and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This side event will present a platform to engage in a dialogue on strengthening solidarity, social inclusion, and cohesion to accelerate the commitments of the Copenhagen Declaration and the 2030 Agenda. It will focus on the critical role of social work in fostering peace, supporting Indigenous-led economic and energy sovereignty, and advocating for international tax cooperation to ensure equitable resource distribution. The session will explore community-led resource management, climate policies, and the social economy as key elements in advancing social and environmental justice.
