
IMF surveillance is a key input in the design of countries’ macroeconomic policies. In an increasingly shock-prone world, civil society organisations have been working consistently to ensure surveillance is conducted supporting economic sustainability and incorporating latest evidence-based findings. The upcoming CSR must build up on this work and ensure that surveillance contributes towards more sustainable IMF policy advice.
