
This submission was prepared for the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Lebanon in January 2026. In it, Amnesty International evaluates the implementation of recommendations made to Lebanon in its previous review, including freedom of expression, the right to social security, the independence of the judiciary, accountability and migrant and refugee rights.
It also assesses Lebanon’s national human rights framework with regard to freedom of expression, LGBTI people’s rights, women’s rights, the right to social protection, and torture and other ill-treatment.
