
The world is affected by multiple crises, including the climate crisis, debt crises, and widescale humanitarian emergencies that are increasing global inequality between and within countries, exacerbated by the severe tariff regime imposed by the USA and by international aid cuts, including by some G20 countries. This briefing provides recommendations to G20 members and invitees in 2025 on climate justice, critical minerals and the just transition, financing economic, social and climate justice and on the need for universal social protection. If implemented, these actions would contribute to addressing historical and continuing injustices and to the progressive realization of economic, social and cultural rights.
