The cost of delivery: How the safety and welfare of essential delivery workers is discounted during lockdown

Like many other laborers, delivery workers are not able to practice social distancing during the pandemic. Yet, they bear the brunt of protecting those who use their service —  largely middle and upper-class citizens — from risking their health while shopping in stores filled with people, at a time when the novel coronavirus has required them to practice social distancing.
