Arab Vision 2045: Realizing hope through thought, will and action

The Arab Vision 2045 embodies hope for a bright future in which the aspirations of peoples in the Arab region are realized, both individually and collectively. It envisions a future that inspires ambition, unblocks potential, and fosters joint action and regional cooperation. This Vision is the result of collective efforts, led by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and the League of Arab States. It addresses the urgent need for a roadmap for the Arab region that balances ambition with realism and is driven by actionable regional initiatives.

The Arab Vision 2045 is anchored in six interlinked pillars: security and safety; justice and equity; innovation and creativity; prosperity and balanced development; diversity and dynamism; and cultural and intellectual renewal. These pillars were selected to reflect the region’s most pressing priorities, across its nations, communities and individuals, and to address the profound global transformations reshaping the contemporary world. The objective is to direct these transformations towards beneficial outcomes while mitigating their potential adverse impacts over the coming decades.
