
This 63rd Commission For Social Development side-event aimed to:
- Provide a platform for highlighting the importance of respecting, protecting, and fulfilling the right to social security at global, regional, national, and local levels, especially in the context of current global challenges, such as conflicts, climate change, and economic crisis and in the context of demographic and technological change.
- Stress, through joint advocacy messaging, the need to strengthen sustainable and equitable financing mechanisms for Universal Social Protection at the international and national levels.
- Launch of the OHCHR/ILO Fact Sheet on the right to social security: presenting key contents and outcomes of the joint publication.
